The definition of “digital transformation” has itself transformed in recent years. With today’s rapidly changing technological advancements, we are now in the smart procedure generation. Computers are learning through repetition, artificial intelligence, and robotics and beginning to make some decisions on our behalf, thereby giving us more time to do more important tasks. What can we learn from previous eras of transformation that will help us navigate new demands and leverage new opportunities? This paper offers ideas and action steps for helping prepare and execute a people strategy when dealing with a technology disruption.
