Competition for talent between agencies combined with further predicted increases in private sector hiring – not only this year, but also beyond –is creating an increasingly difficult hiring landscape for government agencies. Even more, the bureaucracy and politics inherent in government agencies can be frustrating to employees and can provide a strong enough reason for them to seek employment by the private sector.
