The privacy cat is out of the proverbial bag. In 2018 it was GDPR in the European Union. In 2020 it will be California’s new privacy rule. And in between, a dozen or more local and national regulations around the world are targeting privacy and compliance. It can be a full-time job just keeping track of regulations, not to mention actually complying with them. If you work in a multinational company, or even just in a company that does business across the US, then you might well need to know and comply with a slew of new privacy rules.
