There’s little debate that Shopify is a solid commerce platform for providing individual sellers and small businesses the tools they need to launch their direct-to-consumer online stores. With the same basic, easy-to- use dashboard as Shopify, Shopify Plus offers customers a way to sell B2B via its single, wholesale e-commerce channel and some additional features, integrations, and support meant to make selling at a larger scale easier.
However, because the core Shopify product was built for selling to consumers in an online retail context, many
larger or maturing B2B enterprises have found that the Shopify Plus solution falls short of what they need for
true B2B commerce transactions, which happen across many channels and which are generally much more
complex than B2C.
