Savex Technologies, India’s third-largest ICT (Information and Communication Technology) distributor, on January 12, 2020, announced that the company had inked a distribution agreement with Fortinet.
Fortinet, the global leader in comprehensive, integrated, and automated cybersecurity solutions, has appointed the India based ICT player as a value-added distributor to expand its business and security market presence in India.
The deal is a part of the strong demand for new solutions needed to secure edges responsible for new networks, including data centers, remote workers, WAN, local-area network (LAN), and cloud access.
The plan of action
Savex Technologies Pvt Ltd was roped in as the distribution partner, looking at its history of ICT distribution in India and its representation of several major IT brands, which will help Fortinet target all market segments, including larger enterprises, SMB (small and medium-sized business), and telecom.
As an ICT distributor, Savex Technologies has an agenda to provide customers access to Fortinet technologies and services in more than 80 cities across India.
Savex Technologies plans to onboard technical resources to support Fortinet’s business. It also has plans to build a dedicated team to manage pre-sales and post-sales customer support.
To add value to these services, the ICT distributor will run marketing campaigns, organize enablement training workshops, to prepare partners in smaller cities with all the required knowledge, skill, and information to sell Fortinet’s solutions.
Fortinet’s security-driven networking, which strengthens networking and security across the connected IT ecosystem, is rapidly being adopted and gaining market share in the Indian market.
