Comcast has announced the acquisition of Blueface, an Ireland-based global technology provider and leader in Unified Communications (UC) solutions. Both businesses have deferred from talking about the terms of the acquisition. Blueface’s acquisition adds a new solution in the business kitty with a fully customizable cloud voice unified communications platform to the current Comcast business portfolio for the business-grade solutions—assisting the existing clients of Comcast in communicating better and collaborating seamlessly across the globe.
Bill Stemper, President, Comcast Business, said in a statement that the addition of Blueface’s UC solution would enable Comcast Business portfolio to provide its customers access to industry-leading audio and video tools to connect employees across devices and locations. The new solution addition will provide businesses with the ability to connect with customers directly, even inside the office seamlessly. The company is looking forward to driving innovation with the new addition to the team, helping them power employee productivity and drive the extraordinary customer experience in 2020.
Alan Foy, CEO, Blueface, said a few words about the acquisition in a statement that the company is one of the global Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS) platforms that will be equipping service providers with a complete customized communication solution for any sizable business. The company is currently thrilled to join the Comcast business team to scale-up their current offerings with the creation of B2B products. He predicts that it will enable businesses to connect better with an unmatched network and suite of communication tools to improve employee productivity.
Looking at both the businesses—Blueface is one of the leading UCaaS technology providers to business enterprises and carriers/service providers with a better commitment toward product innovation and development founded in 2004. Comcast Corporation is a global media and technology company with 3 primary businesses in focus: Comcast Cable, NBCUniversal, and Sky. Comcast is one of the leading providers to residential customers under the Xfinity brand and also provides these services to several of the businesses.
