Clearwater-based Tech Data recently signed a distribution agreement with a California company Seagate technology. With the agreement, the Tech data clients will be able to access the cloud-data storage. The global computing components will provide specialized solutions with modern infrastructure solutions to its entire enterprise customer base. The company has entered in an agreement to enter in U.S. and Canada offering a greater variety of storage for the data centers.
The distribution agreement is expected to reduce the lead times required by the storage systems. The agreement will allow the Global computing components to offer technical expertise and also sales consultation for the resellers. The company will also be designing the Seagate system for providing a better solution to the enterprises with system integrators, original equipment manufacturing, and value-added resellers.
According to the Joe Cousins, Vice President of Global Computing Components at Tech Data said that” Storage Facilities are evolving and this is quickly becoming a software-defined system rather than a hardware-based system. Different types of data are aligned with the channel offerings, giving the customer a maximum opportunity. This will also help to connect the North American customer base to Seagate’s world-class data storage products.”
In addition to the Seagate’s Exos and Nytro systems combined with flash storage and hard drives from global computing components that would deliver a platform for the integrated data center solutions.
