Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd announced the launch of latest innovative Modular Micro LED display technology. The launch was done during the annual First Look CES event at the Aria Resort and Casino, Las Vegas. The new Micro LED technology is being designed to keep future display designs in mind, the variants include sizes 75 and 219 inches.
Jonghee Han, President of Visual Display business at Samsung Electronics said in a statement that “Samsung has been leading the next generation display technology. The Micro-led technology is being developed keeping in mind the demand for screen revolution. The Samsung Micro LED has no boundaries, just possibilities that will be intelligent, customizable and excels in performance.”
The MicroLED consists of self-emissive technology and modular capabilities that can be used to display greater picture quality, combined with versatility and cool design. The technology has been developed to provide brilliant colors and picture quality using the inorganic red, green and blue microscopic LED chips. The modular technology is being aimed to provide picture quality and flexibility with the screen size. The addition of Micro LED module the users can expand their display to any required size. Using the Samsung Micro LED technology the user will be able to optimize the content with consideration of screen size and resolution. The Micro LED content can support everything from the standard 16:9 content to 21:9 widescreen films to unconventional screen size.
