- The Spinpanel deal comes at a critical time for N-able and the Managed Service Providers (MSP) market.
N-able, Inc., a global software firm that assists IT services providers in delivering remote monitoring and management, data protection as a service, and security solutions, recently announced the acquisition of Spinpanel.
Spinpanel, a multi-tenant management and automation platform for Microsoft 365, was created for Microsoft Cloud Solution Providers (CSPs) to automate the furnishing, security, and control of all Microsoft tenants, users, and licenses in a single consolidated hub. Spinpanel helps direct and indirect CSPs reduce complexity, bring efficiency, and scale their Microsoft business profitably.
The Spinpanel deal comes at a critical time for N-able and the Managed Service Providers (MSP) market. Besides reselling Microsoft 365, MSPs have been trying to wrap more managed services around the SaaS platform and Azure infrastructure services. Moreover, MSPs require more automation capabilities to navigate the new Microsoft Cloud Partner Program more effectively.
Potential MSP benefits from Microsoft Cloud Management
Spinpanel, a cutting-edge direct CSP, is used by an increasing number of Microsoft partners and IT companies worldwide. Most N-able partners manage and/or resell Microsoft Cloud services for their small and medium enterprise clients.
With the acquisition, N-able partners will be able to overcome the Microsoft Cloud and create more value for their clients by addressing two significant issues: labor shortages and transitioning to the cloud. To succeed at every level of growth, Spinpanel customers will have more direct access to the N-able range of strong, scalable solutions and free educational and marketing tools. The third quarter is projected to see the integration of Spinpanel technology into the N-able product line. Additional information about the purchase was kept private.
MSPs may be able to take advantage of these opportunities and problems with Spinpanel. Insiders in the MSP sector are familiar with the name Spinpanel. Select N-able partners already use the product, and starting in 2017, Autotask and Synnex partners began paying attention to Spinpanel.
Experts’ Speak
In a prepared statement about the acquisition, N-able CEO John Pagliuca said:
“The ‘cloud’ is no longer a talk track in presentations; it’s an adoption speedway for IT professionals. However, while the cloud presents an enormous opportunity, it also adds to the increasing complexity of IT environments, coupled with labor shortages that can undermine its full potential. We believe the addition of Spinpanel to our team will help our partners optimize the value of their Microsoft Cloud products and, in turn, give Spinpanel customers access to a wider array of IT management and security solutions. We are excited to welcome Spinpanel to the N-able family.”
Added Bendert Post, CEO of Spinpanel:
“We are thrilled to be joining the N-able team to extend the vision we’ve had for our Microsoft Cloud enablement technology and get it into the hands of an even greater pool of CSPs and IT professionals. There is no reason why the cloud should be out of reach, including Microsoft Cloud, which dominates most of the IT world. It’s really a matter of having the ability to harness its full capabilities while centralizing the ability to manage it. We’re making that vision a reality, and we know our customers will also appreciate the wider breadth and depth we will bring as N-able, together.”
