The application of cloud is dominating the storage and development space. Many of the enterprises are putting more and more data into the cloud platform. Though most enterprises don’t realize that putting data on the cloud is just more than putting your data on personal hard drive, making the IT teams work overnight to protect the data. A large amount of data is transferred daily on the cloud platform, even with current offerings of cloud providers a user can even use real-time functions to transfer the data. Most of the business is looking to abandon the traditional methods of data protection that devised for a specific scenario towards data protection. The current investment in the hardware systems are reducing and more focus is towards the cloud technology. Almost the same number added that they aware of the cybercriminal threats that lounge with the usage of cloud technology. Many of the organizations are implementing IT regulations that can improve the security against data theft and vulnerable security infrastructure. The organization found that it was critical before we start adopting the cloud as a storage option the need to execute data-centric protection. During the study, 85 percent of the respondent’s agreed that a need for enforcing access control was critical to maintaining data integrity. Encrypting the data on the stored on the cloud, while encryption of data after it’s transferred from its source to destination or vice versa is one of the reasons almost 79 percent of the respondents think that will protect the data.
One of the key things that enterprises need to answer before adopting any of the data protection plans is the prioritization of work. To address such challenges, enterprises are turning towards the data-centric protection solutions that over some the challenges with cost, usage, and integration that will improve the onboarding of the technologies.
Conclusion
Data security is not just a simple approach to securing certain critical data from all threats. Today adoption is more distributed and threats are more intelligent than a single handle of a tech expert, so enterprises need to be front and center to prevent their data from falling into wrong hands. It will assist in establishing data security and privacy with all the customers. Failing to secure data on your platforms can harm the complete data reputation of the business even introducing penalties from various source.
