Today’s leading organizations realize that their IT administrators (often referred to as “IT pros”) provide them with important strategic and tactical advantages. Administrators’ importance to day-to-day operations, and their role in researching and deploying new technology solutions, makes them key players in a successful IT team. But many organizations struggle to keep their administrators on a lifelong path of learning: under the day-to-day pressures of business and operation, education is often de-prioritized. There’s often a focus on simply getting through each day, or using education only to meet immediate, pressing needs. That’s too bad, because it’s the kind of short-term thinking that can carry a heavy long-term price. Fortunately, using modern approaches, organizations and their IT admins no longer need to make that compromise.
