Google has come up with a new feature that is a plus for its ‘video communication service’ – Google Meet. It is about allowing users to share access to the content that is presented in a meeting with attendees, including people on the calendar guest list.

In a Workspace Updates blogpost, the tech giant said that the users can share the file from the floating action menu or through the suggestion in the Meet Chat while presenting. It is a helpful feature as it allows users to share the presented content directly from Meet without requiring them to switch to another window for granting access.

Google said, ”This makes it easier for meeting attendees to follow along with your presentation, find and reference your material later on, and continue working on action items from the meeting.”

Google also announced that whenever users will be pasting a link into the meeting chat, a ‘file access dialogue’ box will be prompted on the user’s screen.

The users can also adjust the access as required and attach a file by selecting from the calendar event.

Add to it, the tech giant talked about adding a new feature allowing users to view the speaker notes in Google Meet while presenting Google slides. This feature will let users to just click on the new speaker notes button in the Slides control bar to display their speaker notes in the call.
