Cybrary, the leading training platform for cybersecurity experts, announced a raise of USD 25 million in Series C funding led by BuildGroup and Gula Tech Adventures. This brings Cybrary’s total funding to date to USD 48 million, following its USD 15 million Series B round announced in November 2019, and will be used to support additional company growth by bolstering research and development (R and amp;D) across its engineering, product, and marketing teams as well as continuing to grow the new CybraryThreat Intelligence Group (CTIG).

In addition, Cybrary has announced that Kevin Mandia, CEO of Mandiant, has joined its board of directors after Mandiant’s March news that the company had entered into a formal deal with Google to be bought for USD 5.4 billion. He joins firm board members Jim Curry, Ron Gula, and Ryan Kruizenga, along with Cybrary co-founder Ryan Corey and current CEO Kevin Hanes.

Since its establishment in 2015, Cybrary has been on a robust growth trajectory, with more than three million cybersecurity professionals taking their training courses and certifications to upskill themselves within the sector and assist close the ongoing cyber skills gap. This financing news follows the company’s hiring of Kevin Hanes as CEO in June 2021, the recruitment of four new executive leaders in March 2022, and the recent appointments of David Maynor and Chloé Messdaghi as Head of CTIG and Chief Impact Officer, respectively, in May 2022.
