The main goal of Microsoft’s Inspire event is to make life better for Independent Service Vendors (ISVs) with additional support and increased visibility into the vendor’s marketplace.

The software company revealed plans for an ISV Success Programme that will help developers develop their applications and launch their products on the market.

Microsoft Corporate Vice President of Communications Frank X Shaw took to the blogosphere and discussed what Inspire could provide ISVs, highlighting the enhancements to the market as one of the key points.

He wrote, “We are announcing new benefits with the ISV Success Programme, to help ISVs innovate rapidly, build well-architected applications, publish them to our commercial marketplace and grow their sales. Currently, in private preview and broadly available in fall 2022, the program is intended to be the pathway to ISV success in the Microsoft Cloud Partner Programme.

“Participants can get access to nearly USD 128,000 in benefits to utilize productive, modern, and innovative developer tools to accelerate software production. Additionally, Marketplace Rewards has been integrated into the ISV Success Programme to help simplify the path for ISVs.”

Microsoft stated that it is working to make it easier for ISVs to enter the market and interact with commercial customers.

A merger with Tackle.io, a company that assists ISVs to get the results of their labor into the cloud simply and in large quantities on commercial marketplaces, is the primary strategy to bring about these improvements.

According to John Jahnke, CEO of Tackle, “Buyers want to engage more digitally than ever before, and ISVs are seeking innovative ways to sell that satisfy these demands.”

“The Microsoft business marketplace provides merchants with tools to connect with customers where and how they wish to transact. We have been working with Microsoft since 2019, and we are looking forward to seeing how our partnership develops to support platform innovation going on and assist independent software vendors in growing their revenue through the commercial market.”

According to Charlotte Yarkoni, head of commerce and ecosystems at Microsoft, Tackle already gauged the requirements of partners and the vendor’s environment, which made choosing the collaboration relatively easy. According to the spokesperson, “Tackle’s Cloud Marketplace Platform has enabled numerous top-selling ISVs to operationalize and accelerate revenue generation through Microsoft Commercial Marketplace.”

Inspire 2002 was also utilized to announce other ISV-related changes, with Shaw predicting more advances later in the year.

Later this year, he added, “we are also releasing new industry designations for ISVs.” “These designations differentiate solutions based on their demonstrated performance with customers, technical maturity, and customer success. We are starting with healthcare, retail and financial services.”

The American-based company was eager to engage additional partners to offer those specialized customers more general IT assistance. Thus, the event included an expansion of a specialist program for partners that sold into the space sector.

The Azure Space Partner Community must offer some of the vendor’s channel an opportunity to become more involved in this area. Stephen Kitay, senior director of Microsoft Azure Space, penned a blog post encouraging more to do so.

The space business is developing quickly, and he stated, “We believe in the power of bringing together this community in an ecosystem,” This ecosystem provides our partners with several advantages, including co-engineering, go-to-market scaling, and support to many others.

“Today, our partners span the entire ecosystem – from space operators to manufacturers, systems integrators, data providers, ISVs, startups, and more. We are excited to rapidly innovate and advance the industry with our inaugural cohort of partners, and we look forward to welcoming new partners in the days to come.”
