On February 04, 2021, VMware announced a list of updates to its vRealize Cloud Management tools portfolio. These new updates aim to improve infrastructure automation, security, and the overall performance of multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
The company announced the launch of VMware vRealize Automation 8.3, vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.3, vRealize Operations 8.3, vRealize Network Insight 6.1, VMware Skyline, and vRealize Log Insight 8.3. An extra set of feature updates will be rolled out across vRealize Network Insight Cloud, vRealize Log Insight Cloud, and vRealize Operations Cloud.
A new set of updates came out for vRealize Automation 8.3, such as property groups, security properties, and support for NSX-V to NSX-T migration. On the update, VMware commented that vRealize Automation 8.3 is twice as faster as Automation 8.1 based on the time taken to deploy the virtual machine.
Amidst all this, the products such as vRealize Operations 8.3 and VMware vRealize Operations Cloud emphasize restoring improved security features via data security standards and VMware cloud configuration maximums. There are new network visibility and troubleshooting capabilities across vRealize Network Insight 6.1, vRealize Network Insight Cloud via multi-cloud, and new customization capabilities.
They also iterated that VMware Cloud Foundation 4.2 will help businesses work on storage, management, security, and networking of giant virtual machine and container deployment on the platform. The company also announced the availability of Cloudian HyperStore, vSAN Data Persistence platform, and MiniO Object Storage plug-ins.
