Cloud adoption has continued to grow dramatically. In fact, 81% of organizations are using the cloud, and 10% of companies with more than 1,000 employees expect to be “all cloud” in 18 months (2020 IDG Cloud Survey). The question has moved from “Why cloud?” to “Why not cloud?”

However, the security of cloud workloads and services for your organization is still a critical issue. As per the IDG study, 38% of firms consider security the biggest challenge to using public cloud services. And Gartner has noted that Through 2025, 99% of cloud security failures will be the customer’s fault. So, simply relying on the cloud provider to do it all will not make you secure. Many of these problems arise when cloud customers do not understand how to effectively secure workloads under the shared security model that is commonly used by cloud providers.
