As the public sector continues to undergo an extensive digitalisation, e-invoicing is playing a vital role. Early last year, the government published their Government Transformation Strategy, which set out a vision of a modernised, digital government service delivery leading up to 2020. The document highlighted the critical need to save public money by reducing the cost and resource required to transform and deliver services, and “build secure systems by default” to ensure that all digital transformation made protects against cybercrime, including fraud.
